When cold and flu season hits, you can treat yourself to a soothing and effective cough remedy that is 100 percent natural. Aromatherapy oil can ease a cough when you rub it into your chest, heat it in a diffuser or pour it into a warm bath.

Things You'll Need:

6-oz. dark glass bottle (sterilized)

Pot of water

15 drops eucalyptus essential oil

15 drops lavender essential oil

2 1/2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

2 1/2 tbsp. jojoba oil

1 tsp. vitamin E oil

1

Sterilize the bottle. Remove the bottle cap and place both in a pot of water. Bring the water to a rolling boil for 1 minute, and then turn off the heat. When the water cools, remove the bottle and cap and let them drain and dry upside-down.

2

Measure into the bottle 15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 15 drops of
lavender
essential oil. Add 2 1/2 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil, 2 and 1/2 tbsp. of jojoba oil and 1 tsp. of vitamin E oil.

Place the lid firmly on the bottle and shake gently to blend. Continue shaking the bottle 2 or 3 times a day for 3 days to make sure the oils blend thoroughly. Use your aromatherapy oil anytime day or night to help soothe a cough.
