How to Make Aromatherapy Oil for Athlete's Foot
If you are looking for a soothing, all natural remedy for the treatment and prevention of athlete's foot, try a simple aromatherapy oil. During bouts of athlete's foot, you can massage the oil into the feet 2 or 3 times daily, or to prevent athlete's foot just one time each day, after bathing.
Things You'll Need:
6-oz. dark glass bottle
Small pot of water
3 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. jojoba oil
1 tsp. vitamin E oil
20 drops tea tree oil
10 drops lavender essential oil
1
Remove the cap from your bottle and place both into a small pot of water. Heat the water to a rolling boil and watch for 1 minute. Turn off the heat and wait for the water to cool before removing the bottle and cap. Leave them upside down to drain and dry.
2
Pour 3 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil, 2 tbsp. of jojoba oil and 1 tsp. vitamin E oil into the bottle. Add 20 drops of tea tree oil and 10 drops of
lavender
essential oil
3
Cap the bottle tightly and gently shake the oil. You can use the remedy immediately but continue to shake the bottle 2 or 3 times a day for 3 days to help the oils blend completely. As long as you sterilize the bottle, use fresh ingredients and store your aromatherapy oil in a cool, dark place, it should keep for at least 18 months.
